About Us

SSGA Mission

The mission of the Sheriff's Support Group of Altadena (SSGA) is to foster a spirit of community understanding and partnership by supporting the men and women of the Altadena Sheriff’s Station by providing both monetary and volunteer resources to enhance their capabilities in ways that go far beyond County funding.

We are also deeply involved in community events that strengthen neighborhood ties. In all we do, the SSGA is committed to enhancing the partnership between law enforcement and the Altadena community, ensuring a safer, more connected neighborhood for everyone.

SSGA Activites

SSGA, under the Station leadership of Captain Ethan Marquez, founded the Altadena Forever Run in January 2026 and will be turning it into an annual event.  We are restarting the Altadena Forever Haunted Jail in October - an event we created several years ago but that is getting a post fire reboot!  It will be back bigger and better on October 24th 2026 combined with a Trunk or Treat and community festival.

We host fundraisers for the station, such as Murder at the Mausoleum, our recent murder mystery dinner to raise funds for station programs and projects.

Historically, we also founded the Altadena Summer Concert Series, which is now managed by Altadena Rotary and actively support initiatives like National Night Out, Altadena Rotary’s Pancake Breakfast and more.

"The SSGA's support has been invaluable to our station and the Altadena community. Their dedication makes a real difference!"
