The Volunteers on Patrol, or VOP, is consisted of community members who assist our local Sheriff's station deputies by acting as an extra set of eyes and ears.  VOPs have a specially designated vehicle which is used for patrolling.  On patrols, VOPs do home vacation checks, report suspicious activity, help with traffic control, assist with community events and other activities assigned by Station personnel.  VOPs do not enforce laws but report to the station suspicious activity.  

VOPPING is a way for folks to learn about their local sheriff's station and personnel as well as helping to keep our Altadena safe.
